It's that time of year again... (Saturday Dec. 17th)

In the spirit of the season we will again be putting on the holiday cheer at our annual race. Once again it will be at the belmont plateau but this time at an entirely new (and better) location. We are excited and hope you are to. so onto the details:

location: We will be announcing the location the night before the race. (rest assured it will be within a short bike ride of our fair city and there will be ample place for parking if you are so inclined)

Course: Better than last year and a true mix of MTB friendly and cross friendly terrain.

Cost: It will be $5 to race. we will accept payment for your race up until 15 minutes into the race your are trying to pay for. So no excuses even if you are late.

Registration: Show up and pay up (no pre-reg).

Prizes: We have been collecting prizes all year in anticipation of this weekend and will show some pictures as teasers as the race date approaches. Frankly speaking, there will be more here in prizes than at most mac races. A list of potential awards we will be giving out include:

Best effort (a note from mom saying you're special)

Nicest try (a pat on the back)

Most drunk (prize already included)

Hole shot (gotta do a shot)

First lap prime (a set of brand new clipless style bicycling pedals)

And as always the winner of each race will get a big bottle of delicious Pennsylvania dutch eggnog

Races: There will be an Men's open and a Men's B field and a Women's open field (because women are tougher than men and don't need a B field).

Time: Racing will start at 10:00AM-ish, so get there on time.

Bikes: Ride whatever you want.

How to get to the spot that "X" marks.

If you have previous knowledge of the Belmont trails, you may know that as you roll in from the parking lot at the plateau you find yourself on an access road of sorts. The one you are on will take you from a maintenance building to another at the access road's terminus. At the end of the access road you will take a left onto the paved section and taking another quick left, you will have to go over a small slab of stone and onto another road more reminiscent of a jeep track or double track. Continue on this until you take a right hand turn that puts you at the bottom of a hill. This is where we'll be set up.
To abate some confusion, we'll also have folks hanging out in the parking lot, the access road, and on Chamonix rd. to direct folks, so look confused and we'll get you there.

location: X marks the spots where you can come and get further directions on where the race will be happening. 10:30 is the projected tome of the first race so if you want to ride any pre ace laps come out around 10:00. We have an awesome prize list for those show and have fun this weekend.
